Highlights 2020

People

  • Team members who have become my “family” here

  • Growing relationships with women and girls in the community

  • Growing friendships with my roommate and another group of friends

  • Building more connections at the church I have committed to attend

Ministry

  • Exercise classes- I have connected with nearly 50 women and girls through these classes alone

  • Spanish tutoring and Spanish conversation practice with women

  • Girl’s group events (biking, hiking, game night, painting, etc.)

  • Bible Study with girls from different local churches

Relationship with God

  • Growth in learning how to depend on God to work and to give me what I need. I have been forced to depend on him because of language limitations and learning to live in a new environment. I have been amazed to see the fruit of HIS work.

  • I have learned more to prioritize prayer- individually and corporately

  • God is teaching me live more generously with time and resources

Prayer:

•          I am hoping to fly home December 19th for two weeks- pray my flight doesn’t get cancelled and for physical protection from sickness so that I can go

•          Pray for increased opportunities to share the gospel during this Christmas season

•          Pray for rest and refreshment for myself and team over our winter break. Most team members are sad not to be able to go home or be with family and it can be hard to rest from ministry when you are still physically in the city.
