Missions Prayer Points June 2019

Please continue to pray for the ministries we support! Here’s an update on Robbie, the Devenney's, and the Vegas!

Here are the prayer points-

Berlin- Robbie Haddad

Its hard to believe that two years have flown by since we helped send off, and then supported Robbie Haddad through a two-year internship with the Lighthouse outreach to Syrian refugees in Berlin. We have just received a video update from Robbie who has a lot to share. The Lighthouse has continued to flourish as a drop-in center with a Language Night, Childrens Programs, Sunday Church and Women’s Art Therapy Course. Robbie has been helping with Arabic videos to draw more people in to Sunday Church. He completes his internship at the end of September, then home for 3 months before heading off for 3 months of Leadership training in New Jersey. The plan is then for him to take up a position as Assistant Pastor and Worship Leader with an Alliance church in France, the Toulouse International Church. Prayer points from Robbie – peace with his plans, peace with a new relationship (he has a girlfriend) and the continued growth of the Lighthouse and the Arabic Church.

WOL- Peru- The Devenneys

The Christ Chapel 2019 Summer STM Team trip was cancelled due to lack of interest and leadership volunteers. However, Curt Chadwick, from Valley Bible Church is wanting to go down in early July.  If any adults are interested in joining him to bring tools and do some construction work at the camp, contact Paul McGuinness. William and Mayra are very busy these days. As their seasons are opposite ours, William is in the middle of school work now and over our summer.

They plan to come to CT for three weeks in August to attend his sister’s wedding (Lucianna will be the flower girl) and visit family and friends. They will also be travelling an additional 3 weeks in the US raising support. William wrote that “We would be thrilled to be in attendance to get a chance to share with our family at Christ Chapel about how everything is progressing in Peru.” Please be in prayer for volunteers to join in the work there, for an increase in their financial and prayer support, for William’s studies and that they can be an encouragement to whomever God puts in their path during their trip.

Jorge, Martha, Anna, Joy and Samuel Vega

On Sunday the 9th Jorge and Martha Vega shared with us details of their sabbatical in the US and their plans for returning to Spain. We hope you had the opportunity to meet with them. We prayed over the family as within two weeks they return to the mission field in Terrassa, Spain to reach the Moroccan refugees for Christ.

Please continue to pray for them: Pray for them as they prepare to return to Spain; packing details, saying good-byes, wisdom in their preparations. Pray that God would equip them for the work of the ministry; especially that the Holy Spirit would help them interpret the dreams that Muslims so often have. Pray that prayer would become a greater priority in the entire group of CMA international workers in Terrassa. Pray that the Holy Spirit will guide them in their decisions as they settle back into Spanish life.
