Grief Share Fall Cycle 2024

GriefShare Begins Fall 2024 Meeting Cycle

GriefShare, a weekly biblically based bereavement support group, offers help and encouragement after the death of a spouse, child, family member, or friend. Sponsored by Christ Chapel CMA of Madison, the Fall 2024 GriefShare group meets:

Beginning Sunday, September 51 and running through Sunday, December 8, the 13-week Fall 2024 GriefShare Support Group program meets on Sunday, 12-2 p.m., in the Christ Chapel Café. We check in with each other for the first 15 minutes, then open with a devotion, Scripture and prayer. We review journaling completed during the week, and conduct our weekly Object Lesson. Then we watch the 35-minute video session together as a group, discuss the highlights in the video, and look ahead to journaling topics and prompts for the coming week.

If you know someone who has lost a loved one in recent months, please invite that person to GriefShare. The loneliness of COVID-19-related isolation has made it even more difficult to recover from the loss of a loved one. Those who are experiencing increased feelings of grief are warmly invited to give GriefShare a try.
Each participant leaves every session strengthened with tools for his or her grief journey. Whether meeting in-person or meeting online via Zoom, the groups truly become a support system.
The 13 sessions follow a logical progression from initial grief to the process of moving on and finding a “new normal.” If participants miss a session, the video can be viewed on the griefshare.org website or when the 13-week cycle repeats beginning in March.
