GriefShare Begins spring 2024 Meeting Cycle

GriefShare, a weekly biblically based bereavement support group, offers help and encouragement after the death of a spouse, child, family member, or friend. Sponsored by Christ Chapel CMA of Madison, our Spring 2024 events include a stand-alone event as well as the 13-week support program:

* The 13-week GriefShare bereavement support program meets on Mondays, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., beginning March 25 in the Christ Chapel Café, concluding at the end of June (we will not meet the Monday of Memorial Day Weekend). Each GriefShare meeting includes an informative video with input from Christian counselors and psychologists, pastors, and others who have walked this path themselves. After we watch the informative video, we discuss the video content as well as the work we have completed in the journaling workbook reinforcing each week’s topics. The 13 sessions follow a logical progression from early grief to the process of moving through and finding a “new normal.” Participants leave every session equipped with tools to help them along their grief journey. If participants miss a session, the video can be viewed on the www.GriefShare.org website or when we repeat the support program in the fall.

Workbooks are ordered by participants directly from www.GriefShare.org for $20 + shipping to those who register for the group through GriefShare’s Find-a-Group page.
