Series: Thank God For God
Part 3: Thank God for Jesus
What’s the best gift you’ve ever received? When I was nine it was a transistor radio. It opened up a whole new world for me after dark. I could listen to baseball, basketball, and the Beatles. It was a constant companion as long as I had a 9-volt battery. You know, the kind that shocks your tongue when you test it. Later that same year I met a guy in school, and we became instant best friends and remained that way for about five years. I’d have to say that he then became the best gift I’d ever received. At some point Jesus replaced Vince. We’re still friends and actually Jesus has made me a better friend to him.
This week’s sermon is going to look at the ways in which our lives have been, or can be enriched by the presence of Jesus.
We’re in Part 3 of a series called Thank God for God.
Our scripture passage is Ephesians 1:7-12
