Envision Providence Update
Robert & Amy Childs, Envision Providence RI.
Much is happening here in Providence and we are so encouraged by your partnership with us. Whether through prayer, financial giving, or joining us here in Providence, we consider you part of our team and count on you to keep Envision Providence going strong. Thank you for your continued support! It has been a true blessing to our family and the community.
Some highlights
Able to purchase a van for Envision Providence.
Although we are not having our weekly Kids Club, our home continues to be open to many of the neighborhood kids. This allows us many opportunities to connect with the kids.
Because we are no longer meeting weekly, we have adjusted to a more event based model. Robert and Nate Marshall took some of the kids on a quick camping trip in September. They hiked, fished, swam, and roasted marshmallows around a fire. The neighborhood kids had never been camping before. Recently, we were able to take a group of kids to see Plimouth Plantation and the Mayflower.
Prayer Requests
Please pray for the safety of our children.
Pray for two interns that will be coming next year, Seth and Destiny.
Continue to pray for Ryan & Cortnie Allen ( a couple joining the team) as they continue to fundraise and move to Providence.
Pray for Faustine and Genevieve's kids as they get settled in a new city and try to make friends and do well in work and school (a Congolese couple that we helped move and resettle).
Pray for the Lord to continue to guide our Kids Club ministries. We want to connect with the kids in fun ways but more than anything we want to share Christ and lead them into a life of following Jesus on their own.
Pray for our upcoming summer. Our budget for ongoing ministries relies mostly on short term trips so we are hoping that the Lord will lead teams to come this summer so we can continue to fully gather and serve the community.
We have a building still in need of an office, dorm rooms, kitchen and bathroom. We need the funds and the expertise to do these projects well and soon.
Please continue to pray for wisdom as we make decisions and seek the Lord in all that we do.
Amy is starting a bible study with a few neighbor women, pray for the women that will attend and for Amy as she prepares.
